Spectrum Camera Cranes

Andy Teleky

Andy began his career in the television industry in the very early 90's. Starting with work in the staging side of things, he worked on such shows as Fast Forward, Vizard and Newlyweds as well as Golf, Football and Tennis. Over the years their have been to numerous shows to list that he has been involved in. Upon continuing in the staging side of things, Andy was introduced by chance to the world of Camera Cranes and Jib's.

In the mid 90's as well as doing staging, which he still continues with to this present day, he worked as a crane assistant on things such as Golf, Comedy Festivals, Grand Finals, Motor Racing as well as shows like Gladiators. At that time jibs were a new innovation to the Australian Television industry with only a handful operating in the country. With this sound beginning, he refined his skills with jibs by operating them on shows like, Jimoien, Live & Kicking, All Star Squares, Sports World and Worlds Greatest Commercial's.

In 1998 Andy went in partnership with Graeme and established Spectrum Camera Cranes P/L. They started off with the Steel Triangle Crane and operated that on Golf's, World Cup Ariel's, Concerts, Moomba Masters and AFL Brownlow.

In 2000 the decision was made to expand the company a little further and they purchased a second jib, a Stanton Jimmy Jib Mk 3. Upon its arrival into Australia they were inundated with work for the jib. Some of these shows are AFL Football, Rugby Internationals, Tennis, Soccer, Concerts and TV shows. An extensive list is located in our Credits page on this Web site.

Since the purchase of our first crane in 1998, we have accumulated a wide array of gear that is associated with cranes and jib's. This includes Dollies, Track, Mounts, Monitors, Generators, Vehicles, Trailers and Hot Heads. We are currently awaiting the arrival of our second JJ3, and are in the process of finishing the construction of a 5 meter ride on crane. Once these last 2 projects are completed we will have 4 crane's / jib's operating, each of them catering for different needs within the industry.

Along the years, Andy has also developed his skills within the industry, and has accumulated certified certificates and licenses such as,
Riggers
Dogman
Scaffold
Elevated Work Platform
Order Picker
Light Truck
Motor Cycle
Car / Boat
Fork Lift

Andy has further developed his skills by operating cameras at such events as the Tennis and AFL Football, and has recently been operating the Hot Heads on shows such as Deal or no Deal, Pyramid, Question of Sport and boxing
andy has been involved in many facets of the television industry [ which are listed below] and this vast experience has been a contributing factor to the success of Spectrum Camera Cranes and there ability to deal with all the requirements of the clients needs.
