CRANE SUMMARY
Steel Triangle
12 metre Triangular Steel construction boom arm. This length can be reduced,
making it useable at 10, 8, 6 & 4 metres.
This steel construction makes
this Crane impervious to most weather conditions unlike most other Cranes on
the market which have a tendency to flex and sway.
The Crane Arm is considerably
heavier than other cranes and can therefore only be operated as a two man configuration.
The arm can be mounted on
4 different types of bases:
A / Fixed Base: This base is stationary and cannot be moved without dismantling the entire crane. It is ideal for internal events where the position of the crane is permanent.
B / Moveable Base: This converts the fixed base above into a base that can be relocated with ease and efficiency. The only restriction with this base is that the surface area must be solid and reasonably flat [eg; studio floor or concrete].
C / Dolly Base: Converting the fixed base again the crane arm can run on Dolly Wheels and Track enabling it to produce smooth on air tracking moves giving another dimension to a camera shot.
D / Mobile Base: The arm of the crane is mounted on an Electric Powered Mobile Base, enabling it to relocate to a different location without having to dismantle the crane arm assembly. The base is quiet and efficient and has an All Terrain capability making it ideal for areas such as soil, sand and road. It is capable of moving through muddy and soft soil conditions with ease.
The mobile base is ideally suited
for shoots where multiple locations are necessary. If the locations are within
a close proximity to each other we can have the crane moved and operating within
minutes of its last location.
The Camera Crane has a Stanton
Remote Head mounted to it, which is one of the most popular and reliable remote
heads on the market today. We also have the option of attaching a Dutch Roll
[3rd Axis] to the head giving it a new perspective of viewing. We can also mount
heads that are fixed via a Castle Nut assembly.
The set up time for the crane
can vary as to the configuration required. An approximate time frame of 2 -
3 hours is recommended
JIMMY JIB
12 metre Aluminium Construction.
This length can be reduced making it useable at 10, 8, 6, 4 & 2 metres.
The aluminium construction
makes this crane light and easy to assemble. It is ideal for internal and external
use with confined spaces and weight being its main advantage.
This crane can be operated
as a two man operation or as a single man operation in its shorter lengths.
The arm is mounted on a moveable
dolly which can be relocated with ease and efficiency over smooth and rough
terrain.
The arm can also be mounted
to the other bases associated with the steel triangle crane, such as Dolly and
Track and the Mobile Base if need be.
This crane can also be mounted
on the back of a trailer, 1 tonne Ute and on the rear of a Gator, making it
mobile and efficient to use. Mounting it on these vehicles makes the crane ideal
for shoots where relocating to another location is further than normal.
This Crane also operates with
the Stanton Remote Head with the Dutch roll option also available.
Because of its light weight
and easy assembly this crane can be set up and operational within 1 > 1.5
hours.
